Stumpy

I’m trying to find something “hip” to wear to a wedding in August.

I should preface this by saying, it’s not just any wedding. It’s a wedding I MUST look good for. Not just look good, but look so-damn-good-you’ll-all-want-to-dance-with-me. It’s a long story, and a story I don’t need to/want to explain, but I have some baggage, and the baggage will (unfortunately) be at the wedding. Thus, my need to look good.

But you wouldn’t believe how difficult it is to pull off the hip look if you’re not accustomed to wearing it. I look like a spaz in everything I try on. Worse, I look like a stumpy spaz. I’m not that disproportional, am I? I never realized how completely small my legs were until I tried on a million pair of capris. Sigh.

I need to do some serious shopping.

Neither stumpy nor disproportional. Didn't anyone tell you that you were the cutest girl in library school?
also you could consult with suit guy, from the school presentations- Patrick, friend of Bess. I hate to say it but he seems to know his shit. Although he'd charge you $.
And you'd have more fun with Jenny.

I take it you've given up on the white skirt? Ch-ch-check it out: http://www.melange4women.com/drforyoboty.html for advice on how to dress your lovely petite body.

or go on the What Not to Wear site and check out their forums, that sometimes works.

AVOID AVOID AVOID Old Navy and Jacob - this is not about looking comfortable.

If you need a hip t-shirt, we'll try Schmatta when we're in S'toon.
